I’ve completed a year of 3D Character Design & Animation at Fanshawe College in the midst of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic!

WHAT IS ART BATTLE?
Art Battle® is live competitive painting. Painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non-mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favourite painting and bids in silent auction to take the work home. On the morning of February 5th, 2019 my Mom was rushed to the hospital with breathing problems. Shortly after (maybe an hour), she died of a blood clot in her lungs. It was so shockingly sudden, we never even got a chance to say good bye. She was in good health and so active, we had no warning signs.
I had a dream before waking this morning. The kids and I were meeting my Mom and one of my sisters to go on a boat trip. We met them on the beach. I gave my Mom a big, long hug. She felt so real and solid. I could feel the texture of the black lace top she was wearing. I’m holding on to the feeling today.

I went back to school this year to take a Post Graduate studies course on Visual Effects and Editing at Fanshawe College.
Some of the software I learned included Adobe AfterEffects, Nuke, Cinema 4D, Davinci, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Compressor and Shotput.
