You might have noticed that some paint brushes are very expensive! Most of the time the reason is that they are of very high quality, and worth the investment. But a good brush is only worth it if you can get the most use out of it. If you treat your expensive paint brushes just like your inexpensive ones, you are wasting your investment.

STATEMENT
Ann-Marie Cheung is inspired by the natural world, mythology and dreams. Â Many of her paintings are whimsical, colourful and playful. She mainly creates using acrylic paint but also explores mixed media, ink, encaustic and glass.
Early in her artistic career, her work was full of angst and suffering, and was expressed with acrylics on large canvasses. Images explored women’s position in society and dealt with concepts of censorship and freedom. The “blue†goddess was present in much of her work.
Her recent body of work “The Healing Garden†explores spirituality and the process of art as a healing tool. These present creations investigate colour and texture, and combine ancient symbols and mythologies to create something mystical, joyful and primitive.
Ann-Marie graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1984 from the general studies program and in 2012 obtained The Royal Conservatory, Learning Through the Arts® (LTTA) Artist-Educator Foundations Course Certificate. She has had numerous exhibits across Canada and has work in private and public collections around the world.

I loved being a Zumba class participant so much that in December 2012 I got my licence to teach. I only started teaching in December 2013, filling in for another instructor who is having a baby. I’m loving it!
Here’s my YouTube Playlist, I teach a few of these in my classes.
