My First Year Studying Landscape Design

Landscape design at Fanshawe

I’ve embarked on an exciting new journey delving into the realm of Landscape Design. The decision to merge my fervor for art and design with my profound love for nature and gardening has been a deeply enriching experience. Over the recent years, my enthusiasm found expression in crafting various public art pieces, such as vibrant murals and intricately painted picnic benches.

The allure of outdoor spaces has consistently fueled my creativity, inspiring me to explore and contemplate the idea of transforming environments on a broader scale. This pursuit aligns seamlessly with my passion, and I’m eager to share the evolving chapters of this transformative journey with those who appreciate the harmony between artistic expression and the natural world.

Augmented Reality (AR) Art

Happy Castle

In this experiment, I took one of my original acrylic on canvas paintings, separated it into layers using Adobe Photoshop and then animated it using Adobe After Effects. I then imported it into the Artivive app to create some AR (Augmented Reality) artwork so when you scan the artwork with the app on your device, you will see the animation above.

Once you’ve downloaded the Artivive app, if you point your device at the image above, you will see it come to life.

3D Animation and Motion Design

Some work I created as student enrolled in the Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media certificate course at Fanshawe College 2018/2019.
Software used: Cinema 4D, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Avid Media Composer

Final project for 3D Character Design & Animation at Fanshawe College 2019/2020.
Character modeled in ZBrush, textured using Substance Painter, animation and lighting in Maya.

I Did This Thing

I painted over an old painting, Live on Social Media. It was all about letting go of attachments.

Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything anger, anxiety, or possessions we cannot be free. – Thich Nhat Hanh

So the question came up today…What do you want?

What I really want is travel and adventure. I want to venture into the woods with my wild women friends. I want to dive deep into the ocean. I want to play and explore. I crave more experiences and less stuff.

I desire to make a difference in someone’s life.

At the end of the day, I want to know that my life mattered.

My Mom never liked to reveal her age. It was as if she was embarrassed about how old she was, as if it was a crime for a woman to grow old. She always looked years younger so she kept her age a secret.

But you know what, in a few months I’ll be turning 60! Hey, I’ve said it to the world and I am going to celebrate!!! I still feel like I’m in my 30’s and in great health. I’m over half way through my 200 hour yoga teacher training and heck I even learned to scuba dive last summer. Life is good.
