WHAT IS ART BATTLE?
Art Battle® is live competitive painting. Painters create the best work they can in 20 minutes. As they work, patrons move around the easels, closely watching the creative process. The medium is acrylic paint and the tools allowed are brushes, palette knives or any non-mechanical implements. At the end of the round, the audience votes democratically for their favourite painting and bids in silent auction to take the work home. I went back to school this year to take a Post Graduate studies course on Visual Effects and Editing at Fanshawe College.

My latest side project has been the launching of Art Canada, an online art magazine featuring Canadian artists. Some of the artists I’ve interviewed include Tracy Root, Paula Mould, Katelyn Tippin and Mark Czajkowski.
About Ann-Marie Cheung
Fascinated and intrigued with ornate designs, ancient patterns, colour and texture, I am an artist constantly exploring and creating with acrylic and mixed media.
Themes include whimsical “HomeScapes”, amusing creatures, goddesses, mandalas, and imagined trees using vivid colours.
I am a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and have also obtained The Royal Conservatory, Learning Through the Arts® Artist-Educator Foundations Course Certificate. I have had numerous solo and group exhibits across Canada. Mywork is part of the Canada Council Art Bank collection and has been published in Zen Doodle Tons of Tangles. The Healing Garden, an adult colouring book, is a published collection of my drawings. My award winning work can be found in numerous private collections around the world.
